Calsmunt Capital is the holding and investment operation of Steffen Ebert and Volker Lang.
The two entrepreneurs from Hesse are pioneers of the German internet and software industry and have proven to be a successful management team for 25 years. They co-founded one of Germany’s first internet service providers which was the nucleus for EBERTLANG Distribution GmbH, their second joint project. Computer Reseller News (2017 and 2018) and ComputerPartner (2019, 2020 and 2021) awarded EBERTLANG Germany’s best value-added IT distributor.
In 2017 Beyond Capital Partners invested into the company and in 2019 HQ Equita, the mid-cap buyout firm of Harald Quandt Group, acquired EBERTLANG.
Calsmunt Capital's investments are focussed on private equity and real estate.
Steffen Ebert
Steffen was a NOC specialist with German Air Force and studied law at Giessen Law School of Justus Liebig University. Steffen is an advisor to several software vendors and ICT distributors. IT-BUSINESS magazine named Steffen Top-100 Channel-VIP for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Steffen is married and lives with his wife and two sons in Wetzlar, Germany.
He is a passionate private pilot holding an EASA PPL-A SEP license.
Volker Lang
Following an apprenticeship as a banker at Merck Finck & Co Volker was responsible for developing performance reporting tools for investment funds at Merck Finck Invest. He then studied law at Giessen Law School of Justus Liebig University. Today Volker is a MSP Evangelist and has a deep understanding of business models for IT service providers.
Volker is married and lives with his wife and two daughters in Langgoens, Germany.
He is a passionate chef and currently challenging his baking talents.
